Mehdi Aftahi

CTO, Technology Evaluation Centers

Mehdi Aftahi is one of TEC’s founding partners and its Chief Technology Officer. He is an established leader in three of TEC’s core competencies—decision support processes, software evaluation and selection methodology, and enterprise software development consulting. Mehdi’s development work led to the patented algorithm that informs our exemplary decision support system, TEC Advisor. He supports our consultants in delivering expert guidance to clients from a wide array of industries and nations. Mehdi holds a B.S. in electrical and electronics engineering, and a Master of Science in software engineering from the Middle East Technical University in Ankara, Turkey.

Tim Andreae

VP of Alliances, First Insight

Tim Andreae is the Vice President of Alliances at First Insight, the world’s leading customer-centric merchandising platform that leverages predictive analytics for digital product testing for some of the world’s leading retailers and brands. He has spent his career in high growth software companies in sales, marketing, and alliance-related executive roles. Tim has a degree in Engineering from Columbia University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He resides in Newton, MA.

Louis Columbus

Principal, IQMS

Louis is currently serving as Principal at IQMS. Previous positions include Director of Product Management at Ingram Cloud, VP of Marketing at iBASEt, Plex Systems, Senior Analyst at AMR Research (now Gartner), and marketing and business development roles at SaaS start-ups. Louis’ academic background includes an MBA from Pepperdine University and the Strategic Marketing & Digital Marketing Programs at Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He also teaches MBA courses in international business, global competitive strategies, and market research.

Branislav Djurkovic

CEO, Apollo

Branislav Djurkovic started his engineering career in the mid-1980s in Belgrade, Serbia. He founded Apollo ( in 1992, an ISV specialized in complex eBusiness solutions with particular expertise in the financial, production, and healthcare industries. Branislav is past president of the Serbian Software Cluster and a member of various Serbian and international professional associations. He holds an MSEE degree from the University of Belgrade and a graduate specialization from Florida State University.

Ton Dobbe

Chief Inspiration Officer, Value Inspiration

Ton is a strategic product marketing expert with over 26 years of experience in enterprise business software. He’s the founder of Value Inspiration, a consultancy that helps business software companies become remarkable in three areas: sales, marketing, and product strategy. Previously Ton acted as Vice President of Product Marketing & Management, Global Head of Product Marketing and Chief Evangelist at Unit4, a global leader in ERP for Services.

Christine Dover

Lead Analyst, Competitive Market Insights and Corporate Strategy, SAP

Christine Dover is Lead Analyst, Competitive and Market Insights for S/4HANA, SuccessFactors and Strategic Competitors – Oracle/NetSuite and Workday. She is a longtime software industry analyst, now at SAP after six years with IDC, covering the ERP and HCM markets. Christine and her husband Robert live in Portland Oregon (where it doesn’t actually rain every day). She has a masters degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and earned a BS at St Mary’s College of California.

Michael Dunne

Director of Product Marketing, Apttus

Michael Dunne is the Director of Product Marketing at Apttus, the leader in Quote-to-Cash solutions, responsible for CPQ, Digital Commerce, and AI solutions. Formerly, he was an analyst and vice president at Gartner, a leading IT research firm, where he covered CPQ, price optimization, SPM, sales effectiveness, and digital commerce solutions. He was also a Senior Vice President at Creative Executions, a marketing and sales consulting firm based in Southport, CT.

Celia Fleischaker


Celia Fleischaker serves CMO at PROS. She leads all aspects of marketing and is responsible for developing and executing strategies that build on PROS’ success as a leading provider of AI solutions that power commerce. She brings to PROS more than 20 years of enterprise software experience. Fleischaker most recently served as CMO of Epicor, a leading provider of ERP software. Fleischaker earned an MBA from Indiana University. She received a BS in Commerce from the University of Virginia.

Julie Fraser

Principal, Iyno Advisors

Julie Fraser’s clear explanations have helped hundreds of companies worldwide successfully buy and sell application software for production industries. She has worked in the B2B software industry on the vendor side for more than 30 years, and started as a software developer for the IT group at Texas Instruments.

PJ Jakovljevic

Principal Analyst, Technology Evaluation Centers

PJ Jakovljevic focuses on the enterprise applications market. He has over 20 years of industrial experience within the discrete manufacturing sector, including the machinery and equipment, automotive, construction and engineering, and electronics industries. Prior to joining TEC, PJ was a senior consultant in the package-based solutions (PBS) group of CAP Gemini, where he was involved in system demonstrations, software gap analysis for prospective clients, and Baan implementation assignments.

In October 2001, Ned co-founded xTuple, originally called OpenMFG, with the aim of bringing the worlds of open source and enterprise resource planning (ERP) together to solve the unmet needs of small- to mid-sized manufacturers. In 1999, he was a co-founder of Great Bridge, an early business built around the PostgreSQL open source database. PostgreSQL is the core technology for xTuple today.
